Vilimoni Koroi won a gold medal at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games as part of the men's rugby sevens team.

Koroi burst onto the Sevens Series in 2017 with a number of eye catching performances. In his first year out of Feilding High School, Koroi debuted for the All Blacks Sevens on home soil in Wellington. A combination of deft footwork, speed and a natural eye for the game sees comparisons drawn with sevens legend Tomasi Cama. Koroi plays for Otago in the Mitre 10 Cup.
