Suzie is the Captain of the Women's team. Suzie has played most of her hockey at inside left but was asked to take up the centre half role by Ian Rutledge in late 2003. This transition has proved highly successful. Suzie is New Zealand's highest capped Women's player and was awarded the Hockey New Zealand Player of the Year in 2002. Suzie has played in two Olympics, two Commonwealth Games, two World Cups and four Champions Trophies.
