Speed skater Shane
Dobbin competed at the Vancouver 2010 (17th in 5,000m) and the Sochi
2014 Olympic Winter Games (7th in 10,000m, 14th in
5,000m).
The two time Olympian aims to help make the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in
Pyeongchang New Zealand's most successful Winter Games yet.
Less than two years out of retirement Dobbin has focussed on the Team Pursuit event and together with team mates Reyon Kay and Peter Michael has achieved notable results including three World Cup podiums and a silver medal at the 2017 World Championships. The men's Pursuit team have a current ranking of second in the 2017/2018 World Cup.
At 38, Dobbin looks to prove that age isn't an obstacle as long as you have a passion and desire to achieve your goals.
