EVENT: Squash: Men's Singles, Mixed Doubles
At Birmingham 2022 squash athlete Paul Coll made history, becoming the first ever New Zealander to win the men's singles event at the Commonwealth Games.
Coll is a four-time Commonwealth Games medallist. As well as his singles gold in Birmingham he also won gold in the mixed doubles with Joelle King.
At Gold Coast 2018 Coll claimed silver in the men's single and bronze in the mixed doubles, again alongside King.
The current world No 1 ranked player, Coll, who hails from Greymouth, is a two-time winner of the British Open.
He won the Black Ball Open in December 2021 to become the first non-Egyptian player to take the title at a PSA tournament in Egypt since 2017.
Coll is now based in The Hague in the Netherlands.
