Laurel Hubbard

EVENT: Weightlifting Women's +87kg

South Island based Laurel Hubbard has returned from what was thought to be a career-ending elbow injury at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. 

Prior to her injury she won a silver medal at the 2017 IWF World Championships in California with a combined total lift of 275kg and is hoping to improve her recent sixth placing at the 2019 IWF World Championships in Thailand.
