Rio 2016 was Julia's second Olympic Games, having competed in the women's lightweight double at the London Olympics in 2012 with Louise Ayling where they finished ninth.
Julia and crew mate Sophie Mackenzie went into the Rio Olympic Games as 2x world champions in the women's lightweight double having won gold at the 2014 and 2015 World Rowing Championships.
