Tauranga fighter Ariane Nicholson headed to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in solid form, having beaten the Australian #3 at a mid-2022 invitational.

The ‘Princess of Pain' is a hairdresser by day and began boxing in 2014.

Birmingham 2022 was the first Commonwealth Games for Nicholson who fought in the women's U70kg category.
