Application of this Nomination Criteria

1.1

This Nomination Criteria is issued by the Board of

Paralympics

New Zealand

1.2

This Nomination Criteria shall take effect from

03 March

2017

1.3

This Nomination Criteria applies to:

(a)

all Athletes wishing to be considered for nomination to the Games Team to

compete in the Games in a

Para p

ower

lifting

Event; and

(b)

Paralympics

New Zealand

, including its

Paralympics

New Zealand

Selectors, that

wish to nominate Athletes to NZOC to be considered for selection to the Games

Team for the Games.

Selectors who will consider nomination of

Athletes to NZOC to be considered for selection in the Games Team are:

Nomination

Procedure

3.1

Conditions of Nomination

: The

Paralympics

New Zealand

Selectors may only consider an

Athlete for nomination if the Athlete has satisfied the following conditions of nomination

:

(a)

hold an active

IPC

Powerlifting

Athlete’s License for the 2017 season

; and

(b)

be internationally classified with a ‘Confirmed’ or ‘Review’ sport class status by

October 2017

; and

(c)

received an invitation by name

; and

(d)

achieved a Minimum Qualification Standard as per appendix 1 at

a Key

Event

.

For a Minimum Qualification Standard to be recognised the Athlete must be

internationally classified with a ‘Confirmed’ or ‘Review’ sport class status at the

time of achieving t

he Minimum Qualification Standard
